Swoyambhu is an ancient religious architecture atop a hill in the Kathmandu Valley, west of Kathmandu city. A Tibetan monastery, museum and library are more recent additions. The stupa has Buddha’s eyes and eyebrows painted on. Between them, the number one is painted in the fashion of a nose. The site has two access points: a long staircase leading directly to the main platform of the temple, which is from the top of the hill to the east; The first sight on reaching the top of the stairway is the Vajra.

Asan, also called Ason or Asan Tole, is a ceremonial, market and residential square in central Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. It is one of the most well-known historical locations in the city and is famed for its bazaar, festival calendar and strategic location. Asan has been described as one of the fine Newar examples of a traditional Asian bazaar.
